At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy, and now works alongside Zero to guard the Academy's secret. Synopsis: Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. I think I might even be enjoying it more now than back in the day. It's also quite amusing that it has held up really well for me. I'm enjoying all of the YA goodness of this story. I didn't think jumping into my old faves from high school would work well, but it shockingly has! The potential love triangle, the drama, and the fantasy are all vibing really well with me. I have to admit, I'm totally digging this manga. Is she who she says she is? She seems like she's gonna be one of our big baddies, at least for the next couple of volumes. We're also introduced to Maria, who is clearly up to something shady. I felt more engaged with the story and way more interested. There's lots of history and super cute pictures explored in this volume and I think it really adds something to the story. Once you get over the lack of action in the first couple of volumes then a lot more starts happening. Honestly, this story just keeps getting better. Vampire Knight continues in the 3rd Volume with a lot of Yuki's history being explored.
